HIS FACE has been with us through these weeks of Lent and Holiness.
HIS FACE was sent to do the will of His Father.
HIS FACE was loved by His mother and father.
HIS FACE stood resilient against temptation.
HIS FACE told Nicodemus of the Father’s love for the whole world.
HIS FACE revealed the Messiah to the woman at the well.
HIS FACE was seen by the man born blind.
HIS FACE laughed with joy.
HIS FACE wept with grief.
HIS FACE burned with righteous anger.
HIS FACE ate with sinners and saints.
HIS FACE glowed with the glory of God as He was transfigured.
HIS FACE prayed to His Heavenly Father.
HIS FACE wept for Lazarus and called him to new life.
HIS FACE was cheered by the crowds shouting, “Hosanna”.
HIS FACE promised forgiveness of sins to those who ate and drank His body and blood.
HIS FACE was betrayed and denied by His followers.
HIS FACE was beaten and spit upon.
HIS FACE no longer held beauty.
HIS FACE was yelled at by His enemies.
HIS FACE was crucified on the cross for you.
HIS FACE announced that “It is finished.” and then breathed His last breath.
Now HIS FACE, which hung upon the cross, is the face of our salvation.
Now HIS FACE is the fear of the devil, for He has defeated death.
Now HIS FACE shines upon all who believe in Him.
And at the end of all the ages, HIS FACE will receive all glory and honor from every person’s face as we all bow before Him and confess Him to be Lord of all.
THIS IS THE FACE OF OUR SALVATION.
THIS IS THE FACE OF JESUS CHRIST.
